March 22, 2018 • App, Archives, Dirt Cars, Region - Southeast, Ticker

Speed51.com will be making its first foray in Dirt Late Model racing in 2018.  On Thursday, Speed51.com and the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series announced a partnership that will benefit both racers and fans during the 2018 season.

As part of the partnership, Speed51.com will award Carolina Clash racers with both a weekly and end-of-year Hard Charger Award.  At each event, $51 will be awarded to the racer that gains the most positions during the feature event.  At the end of the year, the driver winning the overall award will receive a $251 check from Speed51.com.

In addition to the Hard Charger Award, 51 will also be presenting the 2018 Most Popular Driver Award for Carolina Clash drivers.  The voting will be hosted on Speed51.com during the season and the winning driver will be announced at the series’ banquet at the end of the season.

“The management of Carolina Clash is extremely appreciative of this opportunity to enter into this partnership with Speed51.com,” said Mark Huey, Public Relations Director for the Carolina Clash. “The level of coverage they provide for motorsport outreach is extensive. The quality of their product is among the best in the business in motorsports marketing and coverage. We look forward to the coverage they will give not only to our series, but to our competitors and track venues alike. What they did for us and our teams and the facility at Lancaster this past weekend is top-notch.”

The 2018 season will also see Speed51.com increase its coverage of the Carolina Clash with live coverage, on-demand video features, video highlights and stories.

During the season opener at Lancaster Speedway (SC), Speed51.com provided video highlights, a one-on-one interview with race winner Jonathan Davenport, a post-race story and live updates through its Trackside Now coverage.   That is just a taste of what’s to come throughout the 2018 Carolina Clash season.

“This series is a ton of fun to watch and it visits a great mix of race tracks in this region. It’s in our home-base too,” said Speed51.com Southeast Editor Rob Blount.  “I’ve greatly enjoyed the Carolina Clash races that I’ve gotten to work and I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to cover even more thanks to this new partnership.”

More information about the Speed51.com Hard Charger Award and Most Popular Driver Award will be announced during the season.
