Lia to Return to ARCA Series This Weekend at Pocono

Two-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion Donny Lia will make a return to the ARCA Racing Series Friday at Pocono Raceway in a Venturini Motorsports entry. Lia made two ARCA starts in 2006 with the now-defunct Hagans Racing and will be pulling double duty in the ARCA and Camping World Truck Series events. Chase Mattioli and Chad McCumbee will also be competing in both events.
Courant: Keith Rocco, NASCAR Point Leader, Skips Thompson

According to Shawn Courchesne of The Hartford Courant (CT), NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Point Leader Keith Rocco skipped Thursday night's Sunoco Modified event at Thompson International Speedway (CT) because of a dispute with track officials over tire inventory rules. Rocco had a mechanical failure before going green two weeks ago, so track officials deemed him not able to receive two new tires for Thursday night's events because he did not take the green flag. Tri-County GM Resigns; Former Pro Cupper Named Replacement

Race22.com reported earlier this week that Tri-County Motor Speedway (NC) General Manager Rita Martin has resigned from her post. Former USARacing Pro Cup regular Dominic Casola, whose father Tony owns the Hudson, NC facility, has been named as the new General Manager.
Firefighters and Rescue Personnel to Get In Free at Cayuga Co.

After a week off, the Cayuga County Fair Speedway will re-open this Sunday night with a big night of racing. The "flagship track" of DIRTcar Northeast will host a five division program of DIRTcar big block Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, DIRTcar Stock Cars and BattleKarz. The Mod Lites will also make it's third of four scheduled 2010 appearances at CCFS.
DIRTcar Northeast will honor a priceless commodity within our community as all Firefighters and Rescue personnel will be admitted free into the grandstands with proper ID. DIRTcar Northeast respects the effort they have to endure every day and we hope that they enjoy the racing program this Sunday at Cayuga County Fair Speedway.
Gomez Set To Run Three Races in Three Days at Idaho 200

Jonathon Gomez of Twin Falls, Idaho will take a break from his NASCAR K&N Pro Series and SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour championship title chases and head to Northern Idaho for the annual NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 200 weekend at Stateline Stadium Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho. Gomez will compete in three different Late Model race series' logging over 400 laps of competition.
ARCA Swag Available at New Jersey Motorsports Park Blood Drive

New Jersey Motorsports Park will host an American Red Cross blood drive on Saturday, August 7 at the Officer's Club on New Jersey Motorsports Park Thunderbolt Raceway, located at 8000 Dividing Creek Road in Millville.
All presenting blood donors will receive a collectible ARCA die cast car modeled after the No. 1 ModSpace/American Red Cross Disaster Relief Ford driven by Chad McCumbee of Andy Belmont Racing. Presenting donors will also receive two weekend tickets, which include parking access, to the Garden State ARCA 150 presented by American Red Cross the next weekend. To top off the experience, presenting donors will receive a complimentary race day program and a ride in the New Jersey Motorsports Park race car simulator.
Pro Stock 150 at Speedway 660 Reset for August 14th

After the wet weather on the July 10th weekend, officials at Speedway 660 had to reschedule the MAX 1 Advanced Synthetic Pro Stock 150 for another weekend. With July and August already being jam packed a reschedule option wasn’t that easy to find but officials have settled on Saturday August 14th as a reschedule date. The MAX 1 Advanced Synthetic Pro Stock 150 presented by COASTAL Blending and Packaging will run at 7pm on Saturday August 14th.
Kyle Busch to Drive the School Bus at Toledo - Hop On Board!

NASCAR Sprint Cup star Kyle Busch will go beyond the call of autographs and visiting with fans Friday, August 13 when he makes an appearance at Toledo Speedway (OH) for the CRA Super Series event there. Busch has also agreed to take 150 lucky race fans around Toledo's ½ mile paved oval for a ride in a school bus!
All fans that are at the track prior to 6:30 p.m. will get the chance to enter a drawing to be one of the 150 names drawn for the rides with Busch in the Glass Bowl Lanes bus. The drawing will take place at 6:30 p.m., with the rides to take place following qualifying for the evening's event.
Marc Davis in the Revolution Racing #8 East Series Entry at Lee
K&N East - 7/28/10
Marc Davis, a former competitor in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East with Joe Gibbs Racing, will return to the East Series this Friday night at Lee USA Speedway behind the wheel of the #8 Revolution Racing ride. Davis will replace Mackenna Bell for this event.
Greg Biffle Added To "Night Of NASCAR Stars" At Shangri-La II

Four drivers representing two Cup Series championships, one title each in the Nationwide Series and Truck Series, 157 wins in NASCAR's three national series, plus a full racing program for the local stars make up the formula for Shangri-La II Motor Speedway's inaugural "Night of NASCAR Stars" on Saturday, August 7. Rusty Wallace, Kenny Wallace, Matt Kenseth, and Greg Biffle have made firm commitments to participate in the star-studded evening.
Biffle replaces Michael Waltrip, who was unable to attend due to a rescheduled sponsor appearance. Kenny Wallace, Kenseth, and Biffle will all compete in a match race with top cars from Shangri-La II's ASA Late Model division, while Rusty Wallace provides commentary.
