Over the past five years, no driver has won as many main events at Evergreen Speedway than Roger Drake. On Saturday night, Drake continued his dominance by beating out a hard charging Darrel Lutovsky to win the feature in the Les Schwab Street Stocks. Jim Foti captured his second straight podium with a third-place finish.
The Evergreen Drift program featured it’s first of five rounds of Pro-Am action on Saturday. Patrick Heald captured the top spot in a very exciting championship run with Tyler Grimsley who finished second. The third spot was filled by TJ Fry in a hard-fought final performance.
The 2016 Grocery Outlet Super Stock Figure 8 Champion Quenton Borreson continued his rise in the glass as he captured the first win of the 2017 season. It was Tony Hill finishing in second with Eric Allison in third after an intense final few laps battling for position.
The Buzz Inn Stinger 8 cars took the track for the first time this year with a great field of cars being led by Cody Hoopes for the win. Lance O’Grain would cross into second place but failed post-race tech, giving the second position to Jamie Corbett followed by Zach Bristol in third.
The Northwest Pro 4 Trucks made their first visit to Evergreen Speedway in 2017 with Pete Brady taking the most dominant win of the night. Aaron Greene would go on to take second place with defending series champion Doug Wilkinson in third place.
