Mooresville, NC – Buzz Chew Racing’s Woody Pitkat lead 18 of 35 laps including the most important one, on his way to handing JRi Shocks its first Magic Mile win in New Hampshire in the modified division. The win came as a result of a strong performance in the All-Star Shootout, a 35 lap event that saw Woody show the way for more than half the race. The defining moment came on the final lap; when Woody put his JRi Shocks to the test and passed for the lead for the final time on the outside through turns 1&2, putting the power down off of turn 2 to complete the pass and hold on for the win.

“It’s an honor to get JRi its first win at New Hampshire,” said an elated Pitkat. “To do it in the All Star race against all those past champions and winners means a lot!”

The Magic Mile is a significant win for JRi’s asphalt program. “New Hampshire is a showcase event in modified racing,” says Wayne Gregory, JRi’s Asphalt Market Manager. “Considered the Daytona of Modified Racing, it’s a very tough place to win. It’s also gratifying to see the hard work of our team at the shop payoff in a way they can take pride in.”

New Hampshire marks Woody’s second win in only 8 events this season, his first full season competing on JRi Shocks. Pitkat and Buzzchew Racing are currently second in points in the NWMT series just four points behind the leader. In the seven points events so far this year they have one win at the Spring Sizzler, six top 5’s and seven top 10’s in the very competitive NWMT.
