WAUSAU, WI — State Park Speedway kicks off its 2019 season by welcoming the ARCA Midwest Tour to town on Saturday, May 18th. The Wausau, WI track will then immediately follow that up with its regular season opener on Thursday, May 23rd.
The Midwest Tour event will not be a point race for State Park’s Super Late Models, but will be for all support divisions. The May 23rd event will be a point race for all divisions.
Thursday, June 6th will see the first race of the Wisconsin Challenge Series at State Park. This year the Wisconsin Challenge Series will consist of one race at State Park Speedway, one race at Golden Sands Speedway and one race at Marshfield Motor Speedway.
Thursday, June 13th will be a regular race night at State Park Speedway, featuring Super Late Models and support divisions before the Flip Merwin Memorial takes place on Thursday, June 20th. The Flip Merwin Memorial will also be the first of five race nights for the Bandolero Series.
From there, the Central Wisconsin Racing Association (CWRA) pays a visit to State Park Speedway for the first of three times on Thursday, June 27th.
With the 4th of July occupying a Thursday in 2019, State Park Speedway will host a regular race night on Wednesday, July 3rd with Super Late Models and support divisions followed by a full fireworks display.
The CWRA pays its second visit to State Park Speedway on Thursday, July 18th with State Park Speedway support divisions. This will also be a special night as it is a stop on the book tour of Father Dale Grubba.
The end of July means its time for the Detjens Memorial Weekend, which will take place on Friday, July 25th and Saturday, July 26th. Friday night will highlight the Big 8 Series along with Bandoleros and some support divisions. Saturday night will be the Super Late Model Detjens Memorial race along with Bandoleros and some support divisions.
A busy month of August kicks off on Saturday, August 3rd when the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series and its support divisions come to State Park Speedway. On Thursday, August 8th the CWRA makes it final stop at State Park Speedway for the 2018 season.
August 15th will host the annual corn night, with regular State Park Speedway divisions and all you can eat corn and all you can drink tap beer for a special price. That is followed up with the 9th annual Lodi Memorial race on Thursday, August 22nd. This night will also be championship night for the Bandoleros.
The regular race season culminates on Thursday, August 29th with the Fighting Cancer Full Throttle Championship Night. Point champions will be crowned in all divisions.
