The Midwest Indoor Racing Series (MIRS) is owned and operated by Motor City Racing Promotions LLC (MCRP) based out of Rochester Hills, Michigan and features some of the most exciting racing in the Midwestern United States. MIRS is a revolutionary racing series designed to provide “circle track” auto racing, inside arenas and expo centers across the Midwestern United States.

The Inaugural 2012/2013 Winter Racing Season featured five (5) MIRS sanctioned indoor races in arenas throughout the series home state of Michigan. The first ever MIRS sanctioned event was held at Perani Arena & Event Center (Now Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center) in Flint, Michigan on Saturday November 3, 2012. Events were also held at the Birch Run Expo Center in Birch Run, Michigan as well as Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, Michigan and The DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Five (5) more races were conducted during the series’ second year of indoors competition in the 2013/2014 winter racing season with those race weekends held at the same four venues as the inaugural season of racing. During the 2014/2015 winter season, a four (4) race schedule was conducted with the final two events in Battle Creek, Michigan and Flint, Michigan producing the two biggest crowds in the series’ three-year history as well as record breaking car counts in all divisions.

A MIRS event is a family fun night at the races. Racers of all ages compete in all types of cars as Boys and Girls from as young a four-years-old and above race wheel to wheel in the Quarter Midget Division while the Go-Karts competitors young and old alike compete against one another. In addition, the teenagers and adults will also battle on the tight indoor ovals in the 600cc Non-Winged and Winged Mini Sprints, Arena/Mini Cup Cars, Legends/Dwarf Cars and even Lawn Mowers. It’s great entertainment for both the casual motorsports fan and the short track diehards to get you through those cold winter months.
