Former Rockford Speedway track champion Jerry Gille went for a wild ride at the famous quarter-mile oval on Saturday night.  According to reports, Gille hit “the point” in turn three, then the car went up in the air and came down on its roof then rolled back over on its wheels.  Thankfully, Gille was able to walk away from the accident.

Rockford Speedway track photographer James Ambruoso Sr. captured the accident.
