Lakeland, FL — Officials of the Brandon Ford Wheelman Series presented by Gagel’s Auto Parts and powered by Sunoco Race fuels are excited to announce that the first race of the 2019 season will be held in conjunction with the 15th annual CRA SpeedFest 2019 at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, Georgia.
The 50-lap Wheelman Series event will take place January 25, 2019, paying $1,500 to win and $200 to start.
Also racing during the weekend will be the ARCA/CRA Super Series, with past event winners such as Bubba Pollard, Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will also be in competition, with past event winners such as Bubba Pollard, Chase Elliott and John Hunter Nemechek.
The SpeedFest weekend will serve as a great weekend for Wheelman Series teams and drivers to showcase talents in front of the top teams across the United States as well as major media outlets such as Speed51.com.
Wheelman officials would like to thank track owner Wayne Lyle, track promoter Ben Sumner as well as the rest of the track staff for inviting the Wheelman Series to compete at such a prestigious event.
Wheelman Series competitors will compete on the usual Hoosier R750 tire but must buy one set of race tires from Crisp Motorsports park for this event only. For Wheelman Series competitors this will be a one-day event with very limited practice, as well as qualifying and the race on Friday. Competitors are encouraged, but not required to be there Thursday, January 24 for extended practice.
Located in Cordele, Georgia, Crisp Motorsports Park is located just two miles off I75 at exit 104. Camping will be available at the track to those who wish to stay at the track.
