INEX Legends – One of the premiere Legends Cars events in the country takes place  this weekend.  The Showdown at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will take place at “The Bullring” short track on the LVMS property Thursday through Sunday.

 

WoO Sprints – One night after missing the A-Main feature, Donny Schatz was victorious in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car event at Stockton Dirt Track (CA).  Click here for more

MIDWEST

 

Lucas Dirt – Saturday’s Indiana Icebreaker for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Brownstown Speedway has been postponed till Saturday, April 9th due to wintery weather forecast.

 

USAC – Shane Golobic used the high side to pass Shane Cottle on lap 34 and pulled away on a green-white-checkered restart to win his first career USAC Midget National Championship feature Saturday at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin, Illinois.

 

USMTS – Jason Hughes continued his hot start to the 2016 season Saturday night by scoring his series-leading 13th win of his career at Humboldt Speedway in Kansas.

 

NORTHEAST

 

Lincoln – Sprint Car action at Pennsylvania’s Lincoln Speedway has been called off due to inclement weather.

 

RoC Dirt – “Extreme conditions,” according to event officials, have forced the cancellation of Saturday’s season-opening Race of Champions Dirt Modified event at Selinsgrove Speedway (PA).

 

SOUTHEAST

 

Desoto – Rain claimed Saturday night’s action at Desoto Speedway (FL), including the main event for the Street Stocks.  The track will be back in action on “Kids Night Out,” March 26.

 

Dillon – The Mid-Atlantic Street Stocks headline the action at Dillon Motor Speedway (SC) Saturday night.

 

Greenville – Trey Gibson swept both ends of the twin 75-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car features Saturday night at Greenville Pickens Speedway (SC).

 

Hickory – Rain has called off Saturday’s 100-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car headliner at North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway.

 

Kingsport – Saturday’s season-opening event at Tennessee’s Kingsport Speedway has been pushed to March 26 due to rain.

 

Mid-Atlantic LLM – The Mid-Atlantic Limited Late Model Series was scheduled to be a part of Saturday’s Southern Sizzler event at Concord Speedway (NC), but the event was rained out and postponed until April 2.

 

Myrtle Beach – Saturday’s Spring Fling event at Myrtle Beach Speedway (SC), featuring the NWAAS Late Model Stock Cars, has been pushed to Sunday due to weather.

 

New Smyrna – Saturday is the regular-season-opening event for the Super Late Models and more at New Smyrna Speedway (FL).

 

PASS South – The Southern Sizzler event scheduled for Saturday at Concord Speedway (NC) has been called off due to rain.  The event, which was co-headlined by the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, will be made up on April 2, though PASS officials informed Speed51.com that their series’ involvement in the make-up is to be announced.

 

Pro Late Models – On the final lap of the Pro Late Model Rattler 125 at South Alabama Speedway, second-place Justin South made contact with leader Bubba Pollard, sending Pollard for a spin in turn four.  South crossed beneath the checkered flag first, but event rules gave Stephen Nasse the victory.  For more on what happened, click here for Speed51.com’s Trackside Now coverage.

 

South Boston – Austin Thaxton won Saturday’s NWAAS Late Model Stock Car 100-lapper at South Boston Speedway over Matt Bowling, Mark Wertz, Brenden Queen and Peyton Sellers.

 

Southeast Dirt Mod SeriesDerrick Ramey picked up the $2,000 victory in Saturday’s Southeast Dirt Modified Series event at County Line Speedway (NC).  Taylor Cook and Billy Workman completed the podium finishers.

 

Southern Nationals – Dale McDowell won Saturday night’s 40-lap Lucky Star 40 for the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Dirt Late Model race at Boyd’s Speedway in Georgia over Donald McIntosh, Cory Hedgecock, Jonathan Davenport and Jared Landers.

Ultimate Super Late Model Series – Officials from the Ultimate Super Late Model Series have canceled their portion of the event at County Line Speedway (NC) Saturday.

ASCS SprintsWayne Johnson parked the No. 2c in Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Cars victory lane at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas.

KNWest – Keeping up his impressive performance of late in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, Todd Gilliland won Saturday night’s season-opening K&N West race at Irwindale Speedway (CA).  Ryan Partridge, Chris Eggleston, Noah Gragson and Johnny Borneman rounded out the top five.

 

Lucas Oil ModsLinny White takes the checkered flag by 4.716 seconds over Matthew Hicks at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

 

Pacific Challenge Series – Jeremy Doss scored his first career Pacific Challenge Series victory Saturday night at Madera Speedway (CA).

 

World of Outlaws – Donny Schatz completed the weekend sweep by winning Saturday night’s race at Stockton Speedway (CA).

USMTS – The 8th Annual Missouri Meltdown at I-35 Speedway was rained out on Sunday.
