FRIDAY, October 7

MIDWEST

JEGS All Stars Tour (IN) – Travis Braden won the 100-lap season finale at Winchester Speedway while Cody Coughlin won the 2016 season championship. (Click here for Trackside Now coverage)

 

Lacrosse Fairgrounds Oktoberfest (WI) – Dan Fredrickson put together the best total score through three segments to win the Dick Trickle 99.

 

USAC National Midgets (IL) – Throughout history, certain tandems have become synonymous with each other: Lewis and Clark, Lennon and McCartney, Calvin and Hobbes, Milk and Cookies, etc. After his USAC Midget National Championship feature victory Friday night, a new duo to add to the list may very well be Tanner Thorson and Tri-City Speedway.

NORTHEAST

Legends Nationals (CT) – First day of racing at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl featured the Race of Champions for all four classes. Eddie Fatscher won in the Young Lions, Will Bristol in Semi-Pro, Carl Blandina in Masters, and Austin Green in Pro.

 

PASS North (NH) – Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. made his way from 13th on the grid to pick up his third PASS North victory of the season Friday at Star Speedway. (click here for story)

 

Short Track SuperNationals (NY) – Nick Nye won the 35-lap Open Sportsman Modified race.

 

Super DIRT Week (NY) – Justin Haers, Stewart Friesen and Danny Varin took home the wins in the triple 30s for the Big-Block Modifieds. (Click for Trackside Now coverage)

 

 

SOUTHEAST

Ultimate Super Late Model Series (NC) – Rain from Hurricane Matthew postponed the night’s racing at Dublin Motor Speedway to a date TBD.

SATURDAY, October 8

MIDWEST

All Star Sprints (OH) – Rico Abreu won the UNOH Sprintacular at Eldora Speedway.

 

Big 8 Series (IL) –  Ty Majeski won the Big 8 season finale at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway while Micheal Bilderback won his second series championship. (Click here for story)

 

USAC National Sprint Cars (IN) – Tanner Thorson swept the Gold Crown Nationals at Tri-City Speedway.

 

Winchester Speedway (IN) – In the CRA Late Model Sportsman Billy VanMeter won the 50-Lap feature while Eddie VanMeter was the season champion. For the CRA Street Stocks, Terry Fisher Jr. won the 50-Lap feature and Phil Jenkins won the 2016 championship. In the Top Speed Modifieds, Jeff Lane won the 50-Lap feature while Bob Sibilia Jr. was crowned champion. (click here for Trackside Now coverage)

 

 

NORTHEAST

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (PA) – Josh Richards won the Pittsburgher 100 at Pitt. Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.

 

Legends Nationals (CT) – Rains from Hurricane Matthew washed out the main features at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

 

Mahoning Valley Speedway (PA) – Todd Baer won the Modified feature while Eric Beers closed out the championship.

 

Short Track SuperNationals (NY) – The 50-Lap main event for the Modifieds at I-88 Speedway was rained out to Sunday.

 

Super DIRT Week (NY) – Saturday’s racing program at Oswego Speedway was postponed until Sunday due to rain. (click here for story)

 

Wall Stadium (NJ) – The same hurricane rains washed out Chmapionship Night for a second straight week. It is now scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, October 15.

 

World of Outlaws Sprint Cars (NY) – Donny Schatz scored his 24th win of 2016 at Fulton Speedway.

 

SOUTHEAST

Carteret Speedway (NC) – The season finale for the Late Model Stocks was postponed to October 29 with rain from Hurricane Matthew.

 

Southern National Motorsports Park (NC) – Hurricane rains also postponed the Mischa Sell Memorial and 602 Super Limited Series events to October 29.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (CT) – After a rain out a week earlier and waiting into the night for the rains of Hurricane Matthew to clear, Doug Coby won the 150-lap Fall Final at Stafford Motor Speedway.

 

Short Track SuperNationals (NY) – Ryan Godown won the 50-Lap feature at I-88 Speedway while Andy Bachetti closed out the championship for the Short Track Super Series.

 

Super DIRT Week (NY)Stewart Friesen navigated a rough racing surface and made a late pass to win his fifth Super DIRT Week and the first at Oswego Speedway (click here for story) (click here for Trackside Now coverage)

 

Valenti Modified Racing Series (NH) – Rains from Hurricane Matthew posponed the Twin 50’s at Lee USA Speedway to October 23.

 

SOUTHEAST

Sunoco Challenge Series (FL) – Jesse Dutilly led the Randy Fox Memorial 104 wire to wire at Desoto Speedway.
