FRIDAY, April 21

MIDWEST

ASCS Red River (KS) – Heavy rain has washed out both Friday and Saturday racing at Speedway 81. 

 

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (OH) – Josh Richards started the weekend strong, winning at Sharon Speedway. (click here for story)

 

USAC National Sprints (IN) – Justin Grant took the checkers at Plymouth Speedway.

 

USMTS (KS) – Stormy Scott stormed to victory at Lakeside Speedway.

 

NORTHEAST

Albany-Saratoga Speedway (NY) – Opening night has been called off to persistent rain.

 

Outlaw Speedway (NY) – Alan Johnson got by Matt Sheppard to win the Spring Nationals Modified feature.

 

SOUTHEAST

Must See Racing Sprints (SC) – Jimmy McCune won the series season opener at Anderson Motor Speedway. (click here for story)

 

Spring Nationals Series (TN) – Heavy rain at Crossville Speedway postponed the night’s events to May 19.

 

World of Outlaws Sprints (AR) – The rains also pelted down at Riverside International Speedway, postponing competition to May 3.

 

SOUTHWEST

SATURDAY, April 22

MIDWEST

ARCA/CRA Super Series (OH) – Brian Campbell charged to the front to score his third CRA victory at Toledo Speedway in the last four years . (click here for Trackside Now) (click here for story)

 

ARCA Gold Cup (OH) – To the surprise of no one, Steve Needles showed up to Toledo Speedway on Saturday and picked up another win at the track. (click here for Trackside Now) (click here for story)

 

Berlin Raceway (MI) –  Aaron Hulings and Carson Hocevar split a pair of Super Late Model wins to kick off the 2017 season.

 

All Star Circuit of Champions (OH) –  It was Sheldon Haudenschild parking it in victory lane at Wayne County Speedway.

 

ASCS Red River (KS) – Heavy rain has washed out both Friday and Saturday racing at Speedway 81.

 

ASCS Warrior (MO) – Randy Martin made the trip to victory lane at Randolph County Raceway.

 

USAC National Sprints (IN) –  Racing at Montpelier Motor Speedway has been postponed to a date to be determined with an unfavorable forecast for Saturday.

 

USMTS (MO) – Ricky Thornton, Jr. made it two wins in three days with a victory Saturday at I-35 Speedway.

 

Vore’s Compact Touring Series (OH) – Ricky Weaver bested a field of 32 cars to pick a win on the big stage at Eldora Speedway.

 

World of Outlaws Sprints (MO) – The Outlaws lost outright to mother nature as rain is also in the forecast for Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.

 

NORTHEAST

Canandaigua Motorsports Park (NY) – The season opener at Canandaigua was called off due to a poor weather forecast.

 

Fonda Speedway (NY) – It may have taken an extra week to kick off the season at the New York dirt track, but it was well worth the wait for Justin Boehler, the winner of the Ice Jam 50.

 

Grandview Speedway (PA) – Afternoon rain and more rain being forecast into the evening forced the cancellation of NASCAR stock car racing action at Grandview.

 

Lebanon Valley Speedway (NY) – The “Wild Child” Andy Bachetti kicked off the 2017 season in victory lane at the Valley of Speed.

 

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (MD) – Saturday’s event at Hagerstown Speedway has been canceled due to a poor weather forecast.

 

Mahoning Valley Speedway (PA) – Bobby Jones scored the win in the 35-lap Modified feature. (click here for story)

 

Modified Touring Series (NH) – Like he did one year ago in the series’ inaugural event, Ryan Preece won Saturday night at Monadnock Speedway. (click here for Speed Central) (click here for story)

 

New Egypt Speedway (NJ) – For the fourth time this season, Mother Nature forced New Egypt to cancel their racing program.

 

Orange County Fair Speedway (NY) – Rain showers forced officials to pull the plug on Saturday’s racing program.

 

Wall Stadium Speedway (NJ) – Mother Nature was the victor during Saturday’s scheduled season opener on the Jersey Shore. They will try again next Saturday. 

 

Wiscasset Speedway (ME) – For the first time since June 2014, a full racing program was rained out at Wiscasset on Saturday. The track will now kick off its season next weekend.

 

SOUTHEAST

Bowman Gray Stadium (NC) – The Modifieds will have to wait another week to open the season at “The Madhouse.” The Hayes Jewelers 200 was postponed to next Saturday night. (click here for Trackside Now)

 

CARS Tour LMSC & SLM (NC) – Racing at Orange County Speedway has been postponed to a later date with rain in the forecast.

 

Must See Sprint Series (NC) – Jimmy McCune completed the weekend sweep Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway. (click here for story)

 

NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (TN) – Harrison Burton nailed down his first career K&N East victory in a rain-shortened race at Bristol Motor Speedway. (click here for story)

 

Show Me the Money Series (AL) – Augie Grill went head to head with Casey Roderick and came out on top to claim the bounty that was placed on Roderick by Montgomery Motor Speedway. (click here for Trackside Now) (click here for story)

 

Spring Nationals Series (TN) – Like many other tracks in the country, Volunteer Speedway was a victim of rain showers. The Scott Sexton Memorial has been postponed to next Friday, April 28.

 

South Boston Speedway (VA) – Saturday night’s Late Model Stock Car 100 was canceled due to rain showers.

 

Southern National Motorsports Park (NC) – The Fast 5 Pro Late Model Series went 100 laps as part of the Springfest 300 and it was Colt James capturing the checkered flag. (click here for Trackside Now) (click here for story)

 

Ultimate Super Late Model Series (GA) – Shane Clanton took the lead on lap 2 and pulled away to win at Senoia Raceway.

 

SOUTHWEST

ASCS Southwest (AZ) – J.T. Imperial had been close before, but on Saturday night he scored his first career ASCS victory at Arizona Speedway.

 

WEST

SRL Southwest Tour Series (CA) – When leaders Christian McGhee and Derek Thorn collided with 10 laps to go at Kern County Raceway Park, Blaine Rocha pounced to score the win. (click here for story)

Big 8 Late Model Series (IL) –  Rockford Speedway opened its gates on Sunday for the 40th Anniversary Spring Classic and it was Michael Bilderback standing in victory lane. 

 

NORTHEAST

Northeast Mini Stock Tour (NH) – Glen Thomas won the Mini Stock season opener at Lee USA Speedway. (Click for Trackside Now coverage)

Short Track Super Series South (NJ) –  It was Mr. Freeze, Stewart Friesen, celebrating in victory lane at Bridgeport Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

 

Utica-Rome Speedway (NY) – The streak of lightning at Utica-Rome on Sunday night was that of “Lightning” Larry Wight, who won the season-opening Modified feature.

 

SOUTHEAST

Ultimate Super Late Model Series (GA) – The Rome Rumble was postponed until May 7.

 

SOUTHWEST
