Legends Cars (TX) – Austin Green, son of former NASCAR Busch Series Champion David Green (Pro Division), Tim Brockhouse (Masters), Jensen Jorgensen (Semi-Pro) and Sam Meyer (Young Lions) won the Friday features at the Texas Motor Speedway “Battle at the Bigtop.”


Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MO) – Billy Moyer was back behind-the-wheel and in victory lane Friday night at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri during the prelim night to the “Spring Nationals.”


USAC National (IN) – Both Friday and Saturday’s USAC National Midget races at Kokomo Speedway have been canceled due to rain.  There is no re-schedule of this event planned.



Ultimate Super Late Model Series (MD) – With below freezing temperatures expected in the area, series and track officials at Potomac Speedway have canceled both of this weekend’s scheduled events.  There will not be a make-up date for the two races.



ARCA/CRA Super Series (TN) – Dalton Armstrong led every lap of the ARCA/CRA Super Series 50-lap event at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville but had to fend off a late charge from Travis Braden to win the race.


Greenville Pickens Speedway (SC) – Trey Gibson and Chase Purdy split a pair of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Cars wins at Greenville Pickens on Friday night.


Lucas Oil ASCS Red River Region (OK) – Holding off repeated attempts by Bryan Clauson for short track glory, Washington’s Seth Bergman came out on top with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products atop the clay of the Creek County Speedway.


Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints (MS) – Parking the Dissolvalloy No. 87 in Victory Lane for the second time in as many races, Aaron Reutzel topped the $2,000 to win opening night of the “King of the Wings” at Mississippi’s Jackson Motor Speedway.


Southern Super Series (TN) – Donnie Wilson used a mid-race pass on Steve Wallace to take the lead and pulled away late to win the Southern Super Series points-counting event at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.


World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (TN) – For the first time in 11 years, Dale McDowell stood in World of Outlaws victory lane Friday night at Duck River Raceway Park.  The was was McDowell’s first WoO win since May 20, 2005.

I-44 Speedway (MO) – Brian Brown won the 30-lap NASCAR Pro Late Model feature Saturday at Lebanon’s I-44 Speedway over Steve Holt and Brennon Willard.


Legends Cars (TX) – It was the “Battle at the Bigtop” Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway.  Kyle Beattie (Pro), Tim Brockhouse (Masters), Nolan Pope (Semi-Pro) and Eddie Fatcher (Young Lions) won the feature events on the same weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competed at the track.


Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (IN) – Saturday night’s 19th Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway has been canceled. With the continued rain and the forecast for unseasonably cold temperatures on Saturday night, Speedway and Series officials have been forced to cancel the event.


Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MO) – Brian Shirley beat Bobby Pierce and Brantlee Gotschall to the line in the MLRA 45-lap Dirt Late Model feature on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Raceway in Wheatland, Missouri.


All Star Circuit of Champions (OH) – Like the rest of the Midwest events scheduled for this weekend, Saturday’s ASCoC event at Attica Raceway has been canceled due to extremely cold temperature.



NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (CT) – Doug Coby scored his 11th career Coors Light Pole Award Saturday afternoon at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Coby, the defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion, will look to make it five wins in a row at Thompson during Sunday’s Icebreaker 150. (click here for coverage)


North East Street Stock Tour (CT) – Defending champion Joe Arena dominated the majority of the NESST season opener Saturday at Thompson, but needed a push from Cory Hutchings on a restart to score the win. (click here for video highlights)


Pro All Stars Series (CT) – Trevor Sanborn, Larry Gelinas and Garrett Hall picked up the wins in PASS qualifying heat races Saturday at Thompson. 26 cars were in the pit area and 25 of those are scheduled to take the green flag in the 75-lap feature on Sunday. (click here for video highlights)



ARCA – Josh Williams picked up his first career ARCA Racing Series victory of his career Saturday night at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. (click here of story)


FUEL Late Model Series – Ross Bailes won the feature event at Cherokee Speedway Saturday night.


Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) – Dexter Canipe Jr. won the Big-10 Series 100-lap race Saturday night for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Cars.


Lonesome Pine Raceway (VA) – With a forecast of snow and temperatures set to be near and below freezing during the evening, Lonesome Pine Raceway elected to cancel the season-opening event scheduled for Saturday.


NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour (VA) – George Brunnhoelzl III picked up his second in as many races Saturday at South Boston Speedway. (click here for video recap)


NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Models Series (TN) – Cory Hedgecock is now 2 for 2 to open the 2016 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season after taking his second straight win on Saturday night in a wild 50-lap main event that saw eight lead changes at I-75 Raceway. (click here for story)


NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series (AL) – Race #2 of the 2016 season is set to take place at Flomaton Speedway this Saturday.


North/South SLM Challenge (TN) – The stars of the Southern Super Series and ARCA/CRA Super Series battled against each other Saturday night at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville (TN).  It was Friday night’s Southern Super Series winner Donnie Wilson getting the best of the competition and scoring the $5,000 payday. Orange County Speedway (NC) – Due to unusual cold and windy conditions track officials postponed the season opener until Saturday, April 23rd.  The Late Model Stock Cars will headline the show with the Sherry Johnson Memorial.


Southeast Dirt Modified Series (NC) – With 28 Modifieds on hand, Taylor Cook won the $2,000 to win SEDMS race Saturday night at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in NC.  Most recent race winner David Stremme was the fast-qualifier.


Southeast Limited Late Model Series (NC) – Saturday’s scheduled event at Caraway Speedway was canceled due to frigid temperatures and cold winds.


South Boston Speedway (VA) – Austin Thaxton and Matt Bowling split the Twin 75-lap Late Model Stock Car features Saturday for the NASCAR All-American Series at South Boston Speedway.


World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (TN) – An unfavorable weather forecast prompted WoO officials to cancel Saturday’s event at Tazewell Speedway.



Colorado Nat’l Speedway (CO)  – Brett Yackey took home the checkers Saturday night in the 30-lap Late Model feature over Ethan Penrod and rookie Kyle Patee.


Lucas Oil Modifieds (AZ) – Ryan Partridge got his second win in as many starts in this year’s Lucas Oil Modified Series presented by LoanMart by taking the checkered flag in the GEICO Arizona Shootout at Tucson Speedway early Sunday morning.


Lucas Oil ASCS Red River Region (TX) – One night after racing at Creek County Speedway, the series heads to Superbowl Speedway for a night of racing.


SRL Southwest Tour Series (NV) – Derek Thorn won the rain-shortened (points-paying) season opener at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  The event, scheduled for Saturday, was finally called due to persistent showers, in the early Sunday morning hours. (click here for coverage)


World of Outlaws Sprint Cars (CA) – Rain canceled the first night of the Wine Country Outlaw Showdown at Calistoga Speedway.









NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (CT) – The 2016 season gets underway Sunday at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.  Doug Coby will lead the 27-car field to the green flag.


Pro All Stars Series (CT) – The PASS North Super Late Models kick off their season Sunday afternoon during the Icebreaker at Thompson.



Franklin County Speedway (VA) – Local divisions are scheduled to kick off their 2016 season at Franklin County Sunday afternoon.  As of Saturday night, it appears that show is still on as planned.



Northwest Super Late Model Series – Super Late Models will go 200 laps at Yakima Speedway (WA) Sunday afternoon for the Apple Cup 200. Staff report & photo
