Officials at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) have postponed the Friday portion of the Florida Governor’s Cup weekend due to inclement weather.
The Pro Late Model and Modified divisions will now test their mettle with 50-lap features on Saturday along with the Super Late Models, Sportsman, Pro Trucks and Mod Minis. The Bomber and Super Stock features will be rescheduled for a later date.
Both the Pro and Super Late Models were able to complete one practice session before Mother Nature halted on-track activities. Brad May was fastest for the Pro Late Models while Giovanni Bromante found the most speed with Anthony Campi Racing in the No. 81 Super Late Model.
With six divisions now on the schedule, Saturday is set to be one of the most action-packed Governor’s Cup days in recent history. For updated schedule details, practice results and more, visit Speed51’s Trackside Now coverage from Friday.
