Speed51’s Short Track America will debut a brand new episode Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET on the MAVTV Motorsports Network. This week’s show will showcase the DIRT Cup Challenge UMP Modified race held on May 18 at Lake View Motor Speedway.
The Open Wheel Madness “Road to the Beach 50” featured many of the Southeast’s top UMP Modified racers battling for a $3,000 payday at the Nichols, South Carolina dirt track.
Among those competing in the race were recent NASCAR Cup Series winner Justin Haley, as well as former Coca-Cola 600 winner David Reutimann. They were joined by the likes of Daniel Parker, Willie Milliken, Taylor Cook, Ryan Ayers and a host of other UMP Modified stars.
Bob Dillner and Alan Dietz will be on the call for the 40-lap UMP Modified race, with Casey LaJoie bringing you all the stories from the pit area.
Wednesday’s broadcast will be the first nationally-televised event from the new and improved Lake View Motor Speedway, a track with a lot of history dating back to 1979.
As always, fans can catch this episode for the first time at 7 p.m. ET on MAVTV. There will also be a re-airing at 10 p.m. ET with further airings at later dates. Check your local listings and mavtv.com for more details.
