The ground-pounding Modifieds will make their first-ever appearance at South Carolina’s Florence Motor Speedway this Saturday, October 17. Fans unable to attend the event will be able to watch live on Speed51.TV with a monthly or yearly subscription.
The SMART Modified Tour will compete in the Smart Chevrolet 99 at Florence as part of the Pee Dee 250. It marks the first time Tour-type Modifieds have competed at the 4/10-mile facility.
The entry list boasts some of the top Modified stars of the southeast, with Burt and Jason Myers, Tim Brown, John Smith, Brian Loftin, Jeremy Gerstner, James Civali and Jamie Tomaino among the confirmed entries for the race.
It will be the second race of the SMART Modified Tour season in 2020, with Loftin winning the season opener in August at Caraway Speedway. The series was reborn in a joint effort with PRA Tours earlier this year.
Fans will be able to watch Saturday’s race for free with a monthly or yearly subscription to Speed51.TV. Speed51.TV subscribers enjoy access to highlights, live broadcasts, recaps and much more from the biggest short track racing events across the country.
Since Speed51.TV’s first attempt to go live at Florence Motor Speedway, earlier this year, track officials have enhanced the Internet connection at the track to help provide a live broadcast.
