After shaking free from the jaws of pandemic shutdown, both the Granite State Pro Stock Series and New London-Waterford Speedbowl are now ready to put a period on a pair of short, but successful 2020 seasons. You can see that ending on Speed51.TV with your yearly or monthly subscription.
This coming Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 the 3/8-mile oval on the Connecticut Shoreline will host two packed days of short track racing.
It all starts off Saturday with the Granite State Pro Stock Series rolling onto the Speedbowl for the second time this season where 100 laps await the GSPSS regulars, as well as the Pro Stock ringers of Southern New England.
Points leader Joey Polewarczyk is looking to close out his first career GSPSS title, but local favorite Ray Christian III is going all out to secure the win at his home track. Angelo Belsito is also looking to restore the good luck he had to start the season, while two-time GSPSS champion Mike O’Sullivan is still looking for his first ‘W’ of 2020.
David Darling will be looking to back up his win at the Speedbowl back in September, and will lead a platoon of drivers from Seekonk Speedway such as Ryan Kuhn, Dylan Estrella, Kevin Folan, Fred Astle, Ryan Lineham, and Tom Scully Jr; all displaced by the harsh pandemic restrictions in Massachusetts.
The Saturday broadcast, which is set to begin at around 4:30pm ET, will also showcase a number of feature races for some of the Northeast’s great touring divisions. This includes the New England Pro-4 Modifieds, ATQMRA TQ Midgets, the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites and more.
The action then resumes on Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm ET with Waterford’s five traditional Saturday divisions concluding their seasons. Mini Stocks, SK®️ Lites, and Sportsman will have a trio of 25-lap features, the Late Models will be on for 30 laps, while the SK®️ Modifieds will conclude the weekend with a 75-lap finale.
Both days of racing will be available for all Speed51.TV yearly and monthly subscribers. Not a member? Sign up for one right now.
