Speed51’s Short Track America returns to MAVTV’s airwaves Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and this time with some dirt-slinging Big Block Modified racing action with the Short Track Super Series at Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway.
The Short Track Super Series “Blast at the Beach” is the first time the Short Track Super Series will be featured on Speed51’s Short Track America and on MAVTV.
The half-mile Georgetown Speedway sits just a few miles from Delaware’s pristine beaches. The mixture of sand and clay that makes up Georgetown’s track surface provides multiple racing grooves for the best Big Block Modified drivers on the east coast.
Wednesday night’s Blast at the Beach on Speed51’s Short Track America marks the eighth time the Short Track Super Series will visit the Georgetown Speedway in the history of the series. So far there has yet to be a repeat winner at Georgetown, but drivers like Anthony Perrego, Ryan Watt and Ryan Godown are hoping they can change that stat.
Entering the Blast at the Beach, Matt Sheppard and Ryan Watt are currently locked in a heated points battle with Sheppard having the advantage by 45 markers.
Speed51’s Short Track America episode featuring the Short Track Super Series “Blast at the Beach” will debut tonight at 7 p.m. ET. Some channel listings may have a different event listed due to scheduling changes.
The next episode of Speed51’s Short Track America will see Pro Late Models take center stage from Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway. The full Short Track America broadcast schedule can be found by clicking here.
