A new era of racing at the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway begins Saturday, July 4 for their season opener. Although the event will be held with a limited grandstand capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions, fans unable to attend will be able to watch a live broadcast of the night's action on Speed51 for just $10.
Officials from Speed51 and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway have joined forces to provide a live pay-per-view broadcast for only $10. The live broadcast will showcase feature racing for all eight divisions including Pro Late Models, Super Trucks, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Front Runners, Legends Cars and Bandoleros.
“We’re excited to partner with Speed51 to provide our loyal race fans with an opportunity to watch racing from Nashville during this time,” said Randy Dyce of Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. “Since we are going to be limited with the number of fans allowed in the grandstands, this will be the next best thing as we work hard to get all of our fans back to the track soon."
Saturday's event will also be the first at the track since the All American 400 on November 3, 2019. Mason Mingus won the historic Super Late Model event, while Bubba Pollard won the Pro Late Model companion race. Mingus will be competing in Saturday’s race, driving for Mike Alexander.
Saturday’s race will also be the first event held at the track under the guidance of Track Enterprises, the new group in charge of event management at the Nashville facility.
Jackson Boone won the 2019 Pro Late Model track championship at Nashville off the strength of two wins. With Boone going Super Late Model racing in 2020, a new champion will likely be crowned this year.
Those who are out of the area or who aren't able to watch in person due to the current restrictions will be able to support the event by purchasing a pay-per-view ticket on Speed51 for just $10.
Yearly Speed51 subscribers will receive 10% off the purchase of a pay-per-view ticket.
