Another long bitter New England winter is finally in the rear-view mirror, with race tracks and touring series all across the region coming back to life for their 2019 racing seasons. One of the touring series ready to speed into the 2019 season is the Granite State Pro Stock Series, which is scheduled to throw the first green flag this Saturday night at historic Claremont Motorsports Park in western New Hampshire.
Not only does it mark the start of the 2019 championship trail, but the 100-lap event at the 1/3-mile oval will be the first live race for the series to be streamed on the Speed51 Network this year.
After broadcasting select GSPSS events in 2018, Speed51 is back to bring the majority of the 2019 schedule to all Speed51 premium subscribers at no additional cost. Currently, 10 of the 14 races are scheduled to be streamed live on Speed51.com.
In addition, Speed51 will once again be the video home for the Granite State Pro Stocks Series in 2019. Look for on-demand race highlights, race recaps, driver interviews, and special features following all 14 events during the season’s duration.
2018 champion Devin O’Connell is back again hoping to repeat his performance in 2019, but he’ll face off against another stacked field which includes last season’s runner-up Joey Doiron, who’s looking to finish one spot better in points come October. Another pair of former champs, Mike O’Sullivan and Barry Gray will also be hot on their heels to add to their title trophy collections as well.
The year 2019 features a stiff class of drivers looking for their very first titles as well, including first-time race winners from 2018 Ray Christian III and Jimmy Renfrew Jr. Veterans Todd Stone, Matt Frahm, and Dennis Spencer Jr. will also be on the hunt along with former Oxford 250 winner Tommy Rosati who is coming out of retirement to compete full-time. Young gun and series newcomer Jacob Perry is ready to prove himself against this class of experience during the season too.
Home track stars, such as Claremont homers Luke Hinkley, Guy Caron, Josh King, Kyle Welch, Craig Smith, and Ricky Bly are also expected to mix things up throughout the season.
The racing program gets underway at Claremont Motorsports Park at 7 p.m ET this Saturday night, with post time for the Granite State Pro Stock Series 100-lap feature expected to be around 9:00 p.m. ET. Speed51 will go live immediately before the start of the GSPSS feature.
