The 13th Annual John Blewett III North-South Shootout event is returning to its original home of Concord Speedway in North Carolina this November. Fans from all regions of the country have been snatching up tickets for the event’s return to the tricky Concord tri-oval. Now, for those that can’t make it to the prestigious event, Speed51.com TV is enabling fans to be able to watch a live pay-per-view video broadcast on November 6 and 7.
“We are excited to offer live video coverage of the prestigious North-South Shootout as the race comes back to its roots at Concord Speedway,” said Darren Hackett, promoter of the North-South Shootout. “Live coverage will enable fans across the world to be a part of this historic event. We expect a great crowd at the track and we hope everyone tuning in at home will enjoy 51’s broadcast and make plans to catch the action in person next year.”
Fans can tune in to two days-worth of action at Concord Speedway for a special video ticket price of just $34.99. The video action kicks off with Friday’s time trial and heat races for the Dunleavy’s Truck and Trailer Repair Tour-Type Modifieds, time trials for the PASS South Super Late Models, plus qualifying events and features for the Mini Stocks and Street Stocks.
Then on Saturday, it’s race day for the 13th Annual John Blewett III North-South Shootout in Memory of Charles Kepley. The Dunleavy’s Tour-Type Modifieds will battle in a 125-lap feature for a $10,000 winner’s purse, while the co-headlining PASS South Super Late Models will go 125 laps as well around the Concord tri-oval. The Mr. Rooter SK Modifieds will have a $5,000-to-win feature Sunday afternoon, plus more events for Limited Late Models, Southeast Super Trucks and Vintage Cars.
The $34.99 two-day video ticket from 51 TV is a $10 savings versus purchasing each day’s action individually. Fans can watch Friday’s action for just $14.99, while a Saturday-only video ticket is $29.99. A 200-mile blackout surrounding Concord Speedway will be in place.
“The North-South Shootout has a great history of not just Modified racing, but all kinds of great short track action and we’re proud to bring this year’s event to fans who can’t make it to Concord,” said Matt Kentfield, Executive Director of Speed51.com and Speed51 TV. “The buzz for this year’s race is incredible thanks to its return to Concord and a bunch of great drivers are already putting their names in the hat for some big-money prizes on the track. Fans are really going to enjoy this year’s Shootout whether they’re enjoying it in the Concord Speedway grandstands or at home on 51 TV.”
