Washington Track Set to Roar Back to Life

It has been 17 years since the last racing event was held on the iconic 1/2 mile trioval – Tri City Raceway. Thanks to a hard working group of visionaries, plus a co-operative city of West Richland, and Mayor Brent Gerry, The track will host Regional event: (The Legendary) “Fall Classic” October 2 and 3rd 2021.

“We are excited to present this event to the community, which will add over 2000 tourists to the region that weekend” states Laci Walden, Public Relations director of Tri-City Raceway. “Such an iconic facility hosting the Northwest’s largest motorsports event will be a fitting reopening to the facility that was basically left for dead.”

The City of West Richland Staff & Mayor have been instrumental in directing our team through the logistics and compliance standards needed to allow this to happen. This will be an important event at Red Mountain Event Center as well as to the City of West Richland.

The 34th annual Fall Classic began at Yakima Speedway which had been sold in 2021. Over 140 cars are expected including the top Super Late Model drivers, Tri State Challenge Series Pro Late Model, West Coast Modifieds, Tri State Challenge Series Hobby Stock, and Northwest Mini Stock Series. Over $83,600 in posted awards will be paid out during the 2 days of racing.

Ticket sales/ Details of the event will be posted August 25th on the Red Mountain Event Center website.
