MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. -Every driver dreams of racing at some of racing’s most respected facilities at some point in their career. For 2011 Inland Northwest Super Stock Association champion, Braeden Havens, being offered a chance to compete in the famed MDCU 300 at Martinsville Speedway is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

To bring it all together, Havens has begun a campaign to secure funding for the event.

“Our race team has sponsors for the remainder of the 2104 season here in the Northwest. To accomplish the goal of competing in Martinsville I’m looking to secure new partners and extend a welcome to our race fans who would like to be involved in the chance to send a Spokane-area driver to compete for the first time in the MDCU 300,” Havens explained.

Havens has received an offer to driver for Racing Dynamiks, a Virginia-based company that has had tremendous success in various late model events across the country.

“Travis Sharpe and everyone at Racing Dynamiks have put together great equipment over the years and the chance to drive for them in the MDCU 300 is very exciting,” Havens noted. “We believe that our Killer “B” Racing fans are going to rally their support behind this project and make it possible for a Northwest driver to achieve the dream of racing against the best late model stock car drivers from across the county.”

Several packages are available in support of Havens efforts to race the October 3 event on the famed Martinsville half-mile.

“Any support that someone gives to this project has the chance to see a return from myself and the team that we race with here in the Northwest. We’re also going to provide supporters with opportunities to be part of the Racing Dynamiks Chevrolet during the MDCU 300 weekend,” Havens said. “The support of myself in this opportunity from the fans and businesses so far has been humbling and I can’t wait to give back to them with a good run in this big race.”
