When the Modifieds roar to life at Thunder Mountain Speedway (NY) this Sunday night they will be racing in front of a worldwide audience on Speed51.com. Thunder Mountain Speedway officials and Speed51.com announced Friday that the Wade Decker Memorial Race will be broadcast live as part of the Summer Thunder TV series presented by PFC Brakes.
“We are excited to have Speed51.com on hand for the 5th Annual Wade Decker Memorial,” said event co-promoter Craig Decker. “This is one of our biggest and most prestigious races of the year. It will be great to have Speed51.com here to cover all the action.”
The 51-lap race on Sunday, July 23 will see the winner take home a whopping $5,000 paycheck. With a large check on the line a stout field of competitors is expected to arrive at the Lisle, New York dirt track Sunday night.
Former winners of the Wade Decker Memorial include Stewart Friesen, Pat Ward and Andy Bachetti.
The live broadcast on Speed51.com will showcase only the Modified main event on Sunday night. Fans will be able to watch a one-camera video feed featuring audio from the track’s public address system.
Those interested in watching the live video broadcast will need to sign up for a premium subscription to the Speed51 Network. Subscriptions can be purchased on a monthly ($7.99) or yearly ($8.99) basis. Subscribers will also have access to thousands of short track racing videos including highlights from the Super DIRTcar Series, RoC Dirt Modified Series and Short Track Super Series.
