San Antonio, Texas – VP Racing Fuels and Race of Champions management are proud to announce VP Racing Fuels will be the Official Fuel, as well as Official Lubricant and Official Additives partner, for the next three (3) seasons with the Race of Champions Series family.
Competitors using the only two (2) fuels designated by the Race of Champions – C12 and VP110 – will not see a price increase for the fuel they purchase, however, they will see a point fund increase. Drivers in the asphalt Modified Series will compete for an additional $2,500 to win the Series championship making the title worth $7,500 in cash and $8,500 in total value for the 11 race schedule. Drivers in the Asphalt Sportsman, Late Model, and Dirt Sportsman will all compete for a minimum of $1,000 to win each Series championship and additional monies throughout the paid positions in each point fund, making the total cash point fund to over $50,000.
“This is a great addition to our VP Racing Fuels family of Series,” stated Alan Cerwick, president of VP Racing Fuels. “Our brand is growing and we recognized a passionate group of racers within the Race of Champions and we are excited and truly proud to contribute to their program. We welcome them to our family and look forward to building a long-standing relationship with them that lasts for years to come.”
VP Racing Fuels will activate their sponsorship with on-track presence at selected events in addition to technical assistance. VP Racing Fuel will also honor any existing fuel vouchers to aide competitors in the transition.
Race of Champions management will offer competitors a two-race burn off period in all divisions for any fuel previously purchased or inventoried.
An informative meeting held at the Genesee River Restaurant and Reception Center on Wednesday, April 18 at 7 p.m. with VP Racing Fuel representatives present along with Race of Champions management to respond to any questions competitors may have.
