Fans from across the globe continue to stuff their votes into the ballot box for the 2015 51’s presented by JEGS and for good reason. The voting for the yearly short track racing awards ends on Friday at midnight.
Thus far, thousands of votes have been made and many of the categories are still very close, meaning that each vote could be the one that makes the difference.
The 51’s are an annual tradition where fans can vote for Driver of the Year on both dirt and pavement, driver with the worst luck, best promoter, best track, best action/candid/crash photo and more.
“Short track racing fans have come out in full force to show their support for the best in short track racing during the 2014 season,” said Matt Kentfield, Speed51.com Executive Director. “The voting in a number of categories is the closest we’ve seen it in recent years, so I encourage fans to let their voice be heard as we enter the final two days of voting.”
In the spirit of the Academy Awards in Hollywood, the 2014 version of 51’s Awards presented by JEGS all have a movie theme to add a little Hollywood flare to the voting of the best in short track racing in 2014. 51 has taken the best moments of the 2014 season with the help our staff, fans, drivers, track owners and other notable people in the short track world.
