Vores Compacts Ready to Shine on Big Stage

The Vores Compact Touring Series will have a big stage Saturday at Shadybowl Speedway.  The series will compete alongside the CRA Street Stocks on a live Speed51.TV broadcast of the event, and will also be featured on a future episode of Speed51’s Short Track America on MAVTV.

More than 40 teams from six states have entered the Vores Compact Touring Series portion of Saturday’s racing at Shadybowl, including four former winners at Shadybowl Speedway with the series.  Terry Eaton, Jr., Gary Eaton, Jr., Holli Eaton and Bo Hoelscher are among the entrants for this weekend’s race.

When Holli Eaton won at Shadybowl in 2014, she became the second female ever to win a Vores Compact Touring Series feature event.  This weekend marks Holli Eaton’s first Vores Compact Touring Series appearance since April 3, 2016 at Lucas Oil Raceway Park.

Hoelscher currently holds the Vores Compact Touring Series track record at Shadybowl, with a time of 15.113 seconds set in 2017.  He is a two-time Vores winner at Shadybowl, bettered by a three-win mark for Gary Eaton, Jr.

Former Shadybowl Vores Compact Touring Series winners Terry Eaton, Jr., Gary Eaton, Jr., Holli Eaton and Bo Hoelscher are part of an entry list with more than 40 drivers for this weekend’s race.

Along with Saturday’s live broadcast on Speed51.TV, a tape-delayed broadcast of the race will be aired on Speed51’s Short Track America on MAVTV.  Last year’s Vores event at Shadybowl was also broadcasted on Short Track America, with Kyle Stark scoring the victory in that race.

A 150-lap feature for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will also be part of the day of racing at Shadybowl, kicking off the Four Crown mini-series for those competitors.
