Vores Compacts Bringing Nearly 50 Cars to Anderson

The Vore’s Compact Touring Series kicks off their 2021 points season Saturday night at Anderson Speedway with the Knapp Supply VCTS 30.  Nearly 50 cars are pre-entered for the event, with only 24 starting spots up for grabs in the 30-lap feature.

Two-time defending VCTS champion Terry Eaton Jr. headlines the large field of drivers set to converge on the high-banked quarter-mile.  Cousin Gary Eaton Jr., along with Chris Jennings and Bo Hoelscher are other former series champions entered for the event.

Kyle Frame is already a winner with the series in 2021, having won down at Five Flags Speedway back in February.  He looks to repeat that performance this weekend at Anderson.

Tom and Trent Gossar, and Mark Mason are former VCTS winners at Anderson that are competing this weekend.  Both Eatons, Jennings and Holescher all have also won at Anderson in the past.  Series owner and former Bristol winner Steve Vore is also entered.

In all, 46 drivers from nine different states are entered for Saturday’s event.

Terry Eaton enters the new season as the two-time defending VCTS champion, as well as an Anderson winner from one year ago.  While not entered as of press time, Kyle Stark won last year’s season opener at Anderson on his way to four wins in 2020, most with the series.

Saturday will be the series’ 17th appearance at Anderson Speedway.  Trent Gossar has the most wins at the facility with three, while Justin Brown, Chris Jennings and Gary Eaton Jr all have two.
