The Vores Compact Touring Series returns to Salem Speedway for the Back to School Bash this Saturday, August 22. Thirty-five drivers from six states are entered in the Ault Henderson and Lewis VCTS Golden Ticket 30. The top four finishing VCTS drivers will all receive a Wonka Bar with a Golden Ticket to the Pinty's Short Track Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway presented by Vore's Welding and Steel on September 25-26.
Trent Gossar, last year's Golden Ticket mini series champion stated, "A Golden Ticket to Bristol is a big deal. Bristol had 81 teams there last year, winning a Golden ticket and being locked into the A main takes all the pressure off qualifying."
This Saturday night's race at Salem is the Kids Back to School Bash. Kids get in free, while free back packs with school supplies will also be handed out to the children. VCTS Mascot Vic Tory lane will be on hand to meet the kids and even provide free pace car rides around the high banks, as well as coloring books for the kiddos.
Salem's Great American Stocks will also be on hand with VCTS and the green flag is set to wave at 7:15 p.m on Saturday.
