Following a hard crash during the Fall Classic at Tri City Raceway (WA) Sunday afternoon, the family of driver Naima Lang offered up an update on Lang via Naima Lang Racing’s Facebook page.
“Great news, Naima gets to come home today. He is very sore and banged up and has a long road of recovery ahead of him,” the post read. “Sunday evening, he had a successful operation on his broken leg. Thanks for the love, support and prayers from all of you.”
Lang suffered a broken leg in an accident on lap 99 of the 125-lap Super Late Model race Sunday afternoon while leading the race. He had won the Pro Late Model race at Tri City on Saturday and was looking for what would’ve been a record-tying fourth win in the event. Jason Fraser would go on to win the race for the second time.
Speed51 offers its thoughts and prayers to Lang and his family during his recovery.
