ULTIMATE Super Late Models Announce Biggest Purse in Series History

Carnesville, GA – In what became a huge announcement this morning, working with Richmond Raceway in Kentucky, the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series would like to announce the largest purse in the history of the series. The 32nd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial will pay $20,059 to win and $575 to start on August 16th and 17th. The Butterball will be running in conjunction with the $10,000 to win 14th Annual Scorcher at Volunteer Speedway on August 15th, in front of what is always a packed house at “The Gap”. The Scorcher has become a staple event hosted the same weekend as Bristol’s fall NASCAR race. The huge regional Super Late Model weekend will feature nearly $100,000 in purse money in three days for ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series competitors.

“This will be a historic weekend for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series,” said FASTRAK Companies International Vice President DJ Irvine, “Our teams will be competing for their share of nearly $100,000 in purse money over the course of three days at Volunteer Speedway and Richmond Raceway.”

The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will have qualifying and heat races at Richmond Raceway on August 16th with B-Mains and the $20,059 to win Feature on August 17th. The $20,059 to win, $575 to start purse will also be the largest payout for the Butterball Memorial.

“We are very excited to offer the fans and race teams in the region a weekend such as this,” said Richmond Raceway owner Bill Lupinos, “We are looking forward to the largest Butterball Memorial that Richmond Raceway has ever seen.”

Both races are required for drivers of the ULTIMATE Southeast Super Late Model Series and ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series. The Butterball will welcome the ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series as an additional co-sanctioned region and both races will be a Bonus Race for the ULTIMATE Deep South Super Late Model Series and ULTIMATE Northeast Super Late Model Series in which drivers can replace a lower finish within their home region.
