The ULTIMATE Northeast Super Late Model Series has announced its April 25 event at Greater Cumberland Raceway has been postponed, with no reschedule date at this time.
"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that is canceling and postponing racing events across the country, the Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series and Greater Cumberland Raceway have been forced to postpone the April 25th date the series had scheduled," reads the announcement on Facebook. "With the state of Maryland extending COVID-19 regulations, the series will look for a date to reschedule later in the season when racing gets back underway.
"It's a shame we have to postpone this date. Ryan Montgomery won a good race last year at Cumberland and we were looking forward to getting back there, but with the COVID-19 pandemic across the country, we have to do what is right for drivers and fans alike and look at rescheduling this event. A date for the rescheduling will be announced at a later date when all this settles down. The Ultimate Northeast is hopeful that we can still have a full season put together when everything gets back to normal," said Ultimate Northeast regional director Rose Compton.
Currently, the next event on the ULTIMATE Northeast schedule is the Topless 50 at Tyler County Speedway (WV) on May 2.
