Fayetteville, North Carolina – After persistent rains most of the day on Friday and more rain expected overnight and Saturday morning, officials with Fayetteville Motor Speedway and the series have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s event.
“I hate to do it. But I just don’t see a good window of opportunity to be able to get ready and get the show in. The grounds are pretty wet and we are just going to get more rain over the next 12-14 hours. So we wanted to make a decision early enough that people could make other plans as they need to,” said Fayetteville Promoter Jim Long.
The series and track will look for a possible make-up and announce when a suitable is found. The series will now turn its attention to the $20,000 to win King of the Commonwealth event at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia next Saturday, April 20th.
