Due to persistent weather in the area paired with the length of time it would take to dry the racing surface at Golden Sands Speedway (WI), TUNDRA Super Late Model Series officials were forced to postpone the remainder of Monday’s program at Golden Sands to Friday, September 18.
TUNDRA had completed qualifying and preliminary heat races before rain came just before the end of the Midwest Dash feature. Colin Reffner, Wyatt Brooks, Kevin Kneuse and Casey Johnson were winners in preliminary competition, with Jake Zellmer setting fast time in qualifying.
September 18’s card will see TUNDRA complete their 75-lap feature, with the second Quarter-Mile Late Model feature also moving to that date. Josh Wallace and Darren Jackson will start on the front row for that event, which will now take place just two days before the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series finale at Wisconsin International Raceway on Sunday, September 20.
