We experienced a very scary situation here at the track last night when Valenti Modified Racing Series driver Brian Schofield was involved in a crash in turn three. Schofield would end up needing to be cut out of the car and transported via helicopter to UMass Worcester Hospital for evaluation.

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Track Chaplin Scott Martin told Speed51.com this morning that Schofield is alert at the hospital and “will be fine.”
