Two-time Kern County Raceway Park track champion David Mayhew said that the main goal to win the Winter Showdown is to get through tomorrow night’s qualifiers and be in contention for the last 50 laps on Saturday.

Sonny Pollard told us that his hauler traveled 2,653 miles to be a part of this event. They did run into the winter weather that hit the southern region this week. Sonny said they driver about 400 miles of that on icy roads.
