Ted Christopher said his car developed a rubber build up on the left front as the race went on.

“The thing was like shaking the wheel out of my hand,” he said. “I just stayed on the bottom the best I could. I had really good drive up off. Finally got a win.”

12:16
“We were pretty good on the short sprints,” said Bonsignore. “Better than Ted was at least. I thought I was going to have a chance to cross him up down into three but Masse filled the whole for us and took away any shot we had at a crossover move.”

Bonsignore extended his points lead over Todd Szegedy. His thoughts on that: “It’s still early to be looking at that, but a lot of the guys we were battling kind of had some bad luck.”

12:15
According to car owner Kevin Stuart, they were sent to the pits after he (Stuart) voiced displeasure with VMRS officials allowing Richard Savary and Keith Rocco to work on their cars after the red flag.

According to Stuart, he got on the radio and voiced his displeasure with VMRS president Jack Bateman. Bateman deemed his conduct unprofessional and sent the No. 85 to the pit area for the remainder of the event.

According to the unofficial finish, Szegedy was disqualified from the race for his team’s actions.

Today’s coverage of Wings & Wheels at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT is presented by HMS Tire Conditioners & Equipment. HMS began in the mid 1980’s out of DeLand, Florida. At the time they were looking for an edge and sense then it has become a recognized product across the country. Their Tire Enhancer was developed in 2006 for a last second track side application to increase corner speed with minimal durometer change. It’s a stand-alone product that will remove the mold wax from new tires and last approximately 2-4 laps. Click here for more information.
