Once again, thanks to ATCO Transmission for their support of tonight’s coverage. We look forward to having them back on board for the re-scheduled date of this event, Friday, October 12th

Five Flags Speedway officials have informed us that they have looked for every opportunity to get tonight’s event in, but the radar and forecast do not look favorable and there is some severe weather approaching the area.

Therefore, the decision has been made to postpone tonight’s event until Friday, October 12th. The race card and divisions will remain the same as was scheduled tonight.

A few teams, such as Chris Davidson’s, Spencer Davis’ and Mike Garvey’s are starting to load equipment into their trailers, but there has NOT been any determination on the status of tonight’s event to this point.
According to track officials, who remain on track trying to get things dried up, we’re still in a holding pattern waiting for the rain to pass through.
It’s still sprinkling here at the track, but safety vehicles remain making laps.
While we have a few minutes, vote for any of your favorite driver in today’s race for the 2012 Speed51.com Late Model Most Popular Driver presented by ARbodies. 51 has already received more than 25,000 votes for drivers throughout North America and it’s a close battle with the top 10 as of this past Friday being separated by just about 200 votes. You can vote once per day per device, so vote now!
To the fans wondering what kind of Trucks we have here for the exhibition race tonight, here’s one that has emerged from rain covers. (Speed51.com photo)
Comment From Tom

Good luck to my man hunter Robbins

There are some track vehicles on the track getting some heat in the track to hopefully get things dried up. It’s still spitting down rain, but hopefully this keeps some heat in the track for as soon as it stops raining, we can get cars on the track.
Everything is highly tentative given the weather. Once cars get on the track, there will be updates as far as schedule changes.
Comment From David

Are they considering moving start times up or delaying as a result of weather?

They are Late Model trucks that compete at various tracks especially here in the Southeast. Unfortunately they’re all either still in their trailers or under car covers at this time, so photos wouldn’t do them justice.
Comment From MMontgomery Motorhead

Please explain to us what kind of Trucks these are that will be racing tonight…………..Will this be a regular class at Five Flags in 2013……????????………….Thank You

It is a homecoming of sorts for NASCAR Nationwide Series regular Johanna Long. The 2010 Snowball Derby winner and former Pro Late Model track champion is back here in a No. 11, the same car number her dad Donald drove around here at Five Flags for years before focusing his sights on allowing Johanna to live the NASCAR dream.
Comment From matt

good luck “JO” glad to see you back home.

Pollard is up in Indianapolis, Indiana serving as driver coach for Cody Coughlin in the JEGS No. 1 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour entry at Lucas Oil Raceway this weekend.

During this delay here, open up another browser window and follow along with Speed51.com’s live updates from that event with the ARCA/CRA Super Series.

Good Luck to Mason Massey tonight bring home a winner

It’s still sprinkling slightly. It’s just enough to keep cars off the track – not heavy, by any means. Practice remains on hold.
Comment From BG

Wishing the best to Korey Ruble and the AGR #66 Racing Team. Will be following you on Speed51.

The Ronnie Sanders owned and prepared 18.
Comment From MMS

Is Hunter in his #18 or is he driving Ronnie Sanders #18?

Practice is scheduled to begin in a few minutes. We’re headed down to snap some photos.
There has been a 30-percent chance of rain today, and all weather reports still show that slight chance. But, there’s a sprinkle overhead and there is some rain off in the distance. Track officials stated in the driver’s meeting that tonight’s schedule is tentative and subject to change should weather play a role in tonight’s festivities.
