Comment From Pure Speed Inc.

Jay Jay Day, driver of the the number 98 Pro Truck along the Gulf Coast, will forego tonight’s event at 5 Flags Speedway as the possibility of his wife Shelby going into labor with the duo’s next child draws near. “Shelby could go into labor at any moment now and there’s no way in Hell I’m leaving her!”, said Day. This decision was not taken lightly by Day or his team, but ultimately family comes first, just as it should. “First race I’ve missed in 10 years, but I feel it’s the right thing to do and it’s times like this I wouldn’t trade for the world.” Day and Pure Speed Incorporated would like to thank Day Towing, Barry’s U Pull It, Gravel Concepts and all our supporters and fans for their continued support of the team’s efforts in 2014 and going forward. One final note from Jay Jay Day, “And come on baby Brantley daddy’s ready to meet you bud!”
