Matt Kentfield and Tim Quievryn were at the controls today. NASCAR PR gurus Jason Cunningham and Tim Southers were helpful as always. But most importantly we thank you, the fans, for tuning in to Speed51's Cover It Live presentation. Happy Father's Day to all of our fathers out there tonight.

This concludes our coverage of the K & N Pro Series East at Langley Speedway. Congratulations to Sergio Pena for claiming the victory at his home track.

As a reminder the ASA Midwest Tour race at Illiana is still going on. Join Elgin "Stat Boy" Traylor for the lap-by-lap action!

We are live on NASCARHomeTracks.com . We will give periodic updates about the race.
7:53
Track drying has begun as this shower appears to be mercifully brief. The surface did get wet but it was not a long enough sustained rain to really slow things down terribly. We are looking in good shape to get racing going soon.
7:44
Just as drivers were strapping in, WHOOSH, heavy rain shower. We are in a holding pattern.
7:33
We're approximately 12 minutes away from the live NASCARHomeTracks.com broadcast.
7:32
Driver introductions are now underway.
7:29
We are looking at the green flag in right about 15 minutes, which would be perfect for our 7:45 air time.
7:21
Drivers of the KNPSE are gathering at the start-finish line for driver introductions.  We'll go on air at NASCARHomeTracks.com at 7:45pm.
7:19
Mike Rudy has won the first of two 25-lap Modified features over Shawn Balluzzo and Randy Monroe, Jr.
7:15
At lap 19 of 25, Mike Rudy leads Shawn Balluzzo and Robbie Babb of the Modified feature.
7:13
We will have limited Trackside Now updates during the 175-lap KNPSE feature.  For full coverage, tune in to NASCARHomeTracks.com for the radio broadcast, which will now kick off again at 7:45pm ET, or in roughtly 30 minutes.
7:01
Engines are fired for the Modified Division. 25 laps will be run tonight.
6:47
While the race has been moved up one race, there will be out-of-car intros, so we are sticking to our 7:45pm ET start time for the NASCARHomeTracks.com broadcast.  Sorry for the confusion and the going-back-and-forth on the times, but we're working closely with NASCAR officials on this fluid situation.

Some notes from pre-race:

#66 - Joey Gase - running this weekend because Benny Gordon is at a wedding. May run a team car for a few races later this year.

#37 - D.J. Shaw had to change a transmission

#18 - Max Gresham and #00 - Brett Moffitt dominated practice but will start further back tonight due to a poor qualifying draw (going out very early)

#51 - Brandon Haley - last race scheduled if they can't find a sponsor. Good car for tonight though. Good kid, hard work ethic. If you're reading and looking for a way to sponsor someone at a high market track like Loudon, I'm sure "Cornbread" and team would love to hear from you.

5:57
There has been a slight change in the schedule.  There was originally scheduled to be a 25-lap Late Model and a 40-lap Grand Stock race before the KNPSE race, but now the Grand Stocks will be moved to after the KPNSE race because there is a forecast for scattered showers to hit the area anytime after 7pm.  That puts the approximate green flag for the KNPSE race at 7:30pm.  The NASCARHomeTracks.com broadcast will begin at approximately 7:15pm now with this schedule change.
5:54
The fans here at Langley now have a chance to meet their favorite drivers during an autograph session in just a few moments.
5:49
That was, for the time being, just for the event last week at Gresham.
5:49
Comment From Dan Vining

What's the story on Coleman Pressley running the 14? I thought his team was going to play a switch-a-roo and put him in a number 59?

5:41
As a reminder, tonight's KNPSE feature will air live on NASCARHomeTracks.com, a presentation of Speed 51 Radio, tonight at 7:45pm ET.  Matt Kentfield and Tim Quievryn will be on the call here at Langley.

We're back from our walk through the pits and a quick bite for lunch outside turn four.  The owner of the racetrack here at Langley has a fleet of fishing boats off the Virginia shore and supplies track media, officials and guests - like us! - to seafood dinners here during events.  You're jealous, we know!

One other driver with a seat change. Julian Albaraccin is in the primary #12 Troy Williams car after racing their second car for a few weeks.

While photographing first practice, one our of staff heard a lot of cars bottoming out in Turns Three and Four. Still hearing a little of that from the media box during the second.

1:35
Joey Gase is here competing in the #66 normally competed by Benny Gordon.  Gordon is at a family wedding today and had to miss this race.  Since Gase competes for Gordon's team on the USARacing Pro Cup Series, Gase was the natural choice to replace Gordon in the #66.
1:32
Alex Bowman is back in the X Team Racing #16 car today after competing last weekend at Gresham Motorsports Park for Gaunt Brothers Racing.  Bowman started each of the first five races in the X Team car, but driver shuffles at GMP meant he was out of a ride with X Team there, but is back with the team this weekend.

Coleman Pressley currently tops the charts thus far in the second session.
1:22
Second practice is underway. Sun is out bright and hot on the speedway today as we see a little light cloudcover trying to make its way from the ocean just a few miles away, but thus far has not managed to reach the facility.

Langley Speedway measures 0.395 miles in length with only six degrees of banking in the corners and four degrees on the straightaways. In November 1970, it became the site of the last Grand National race before the series was renamed Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup). The track is located in front of NASA's Langley wind tunnel and down the road from the Langley Air Force Base.

Practice has begun.
11:46
First practice will start in about ten minutes. We'll have times as they become available.
11:22
Teams are tuning up their cars on pit road as we speak. Fans on the frontstretch today will have a good opportunity to see all the crews work today as there is limited infield at this facility and thus no haulers parked inside and obscuring some of the "behind the scenes" work teams do on raceday.
11:12
Here is today's schedule:

5 p.m. (Friday) Haulers Enter
7:30 a.m. Garage Opens
12-12:45 p.m. Practice
1:15-2 p.m. Final Practice
4 p.m. Driver/Crew Chief Meeting
4:30 p.m. Qualifying
5:30 p.m. Driver Autograph Session
