7:04
We just heard that everyone has cleared tech inspection. We're just awaiting the results from the Qualifying Practice and the starting lineups for tomorrow's heat races.
7:03
Unfortunately this event is not on the NASCAR Home Tracks Radio presented by Speed51.com broadcast schedule, but we do thank you for tuning in and we hope that you enjoy the rest of today's coverage plus everything tomorrow from here at Martinsville Speedway!

cant wait for tomorrows race, you guys are a godsend to us up here in canada, radiio coverage?

6:47
Darne...
"I'm sure there's a bunch of guys saying, 'Where did he come from?' Hopefully after tomorrow, they'll say, 'Okay, he's for real.'"
6:47
Mike Darne
"I'm just an old guy who likes to come out and have fun. I've never been the Matt McCall or Lee Pulliam. I've won a lot of races at Old Dominion Speedway. I've only been here once and that was last year. We finished 10th last year and that's only because everybody wrecked.
6:45
Matt McCall, when asked if it stunk to tie with his rival Lee Pulliam, who moved McCall for the win in last year's race at Martinsville...
"It does because we're not in the same heat race."
6:45
"We're happy with it," said Matt McCall on his Qualifying Practice run. "We didn't come here to tie and we're disappointed to tie. We've only run three races, but it's kind of like riding a bike. We've had troubles today getting everything going. After I got out and there were six or seven cars within half a tenth I thought we were going to be 20th. If they would've done true qualifying, you would've had two or three cars a tenth or two quicker, then bunched up in the back."
6:44
Mike Darne will be the other heat pole sitter.
6:44
"We tried a lot of combinations over the past couple weeks, and we've finally found a balance on the long runs," said Pulliam. "I didn't know if we had the speed to win the pole or not, but it's pretty wild that we ended up in a tie."

On the toughness of tomorrow's race as the NWAAS National Championship ...
"They ain't gonna cut no slack. All it is is two bullseyes on you. If it comes down to the last lap, it's going to be wild no matter who's involved in it. Martinsville's the biggest race of the year. It's a shame that one person leaves happy and one person leaves mad."

"I think everything happens is a life lesson," added Pulliam about his up-and-down moments since winning this race, then getting penalized from NASCAR for an incident at South Boston late last year. "It's how you learn from it. All of us make mistakes, it's how you choose to move on from those mistakes. I made a mistake last year and I paid the price. It just shows how much you love it."

6:40
Lee Pulliam tied for the pole with Matt McCall, but Pulliam will get the heat one pole because of national points. (Speed51.com Photo)
6:38
Lee Pulliam and Matt McCall both ran the same time which was the quickest. Pulliam gets the spot as he was the highest national point finisher this season.
6:37
"I'm building a brand new shop, so having that Grandfather clock would be real sweet," added Campbell.
6:35
"We had a good car in practice, set quick time," said Campbell. "They said we were losing daylight, so we kind of scrambled. We got stuck with some slow cars in our group and we caught up with them on our second lap. We ran a 37 passing a car, then ended up running a 33."
6:34
Garrett Campbell is the first one in the media center. He will be on the pole for his heat race which will be the fourth race tomorrow.
6:19
We are waiting for full results from the officials.

We apologize for the lack of times. The rapid-fire rolling of the cars on the track, combined with the lack of timing and scoring made available to the media, we couldn't relay everything as we would've liked. We should get a full official rundown of those times from the Qualifying Practice shortly.
6:04
We are waiting for the official word.
6:03
We believe Lee Pulliam tied Matt McCall for the fast time.
5:59
The final 10 cars are on the track for qualifying.

5:57
Mike Darne ran a good lap after 10 cars in the final group. He should be in the top 10.
5:53
Matt McCall has gone to the pole. Garrett Campbell also had a good lap in session three.
5:51
Setzer is still quickest.
5:48
Coleman Pressley was the fastest after 10 in group three. We think Sentzer is still the fastest. We will have full results after its all done.
5:45
Brandon Butler was the quickest in group two.
5:42
Dennis Setzer's lap is the fastest one we have seen on the board.
5:41
They are not showing an overall right now so we can't tell you who has fast time.

Because daylight is running low here at Martinsville and only about half of the field have gone through tech, the remaining cars will go through inspection AFTER the Qualifying Practice round. Teams have been instructed to put their tires on and get ready to get on track.

"You can believe Martinsville is pressure enough," said Falk about if there was any added pressure to win the Triple Crown title in addition to the VIFRL 300. "We've raced all year with Nick and door-to-door with Matt all year. We've had a good time racing each other. Whoever has the best car is going to come out on top. We all want to win the clock, but only one guy can win that."

Time trials have been scrapped for NASCAR’s premier Late Model Stock race as on-track action has been reduced from three days to two days.

The field will be set through four 25-lap qualifying races on Sunday, followed by a 50-lap last chance race. The feature race will be 150 laps, with a break at the halfway point.

Eight drivers will advance from each of the 25-lap heat races, with 10 coming from the 50-lap last-chance race to fill out the 42-car field.

Today's "Qualifying practice" will set the lineups for tomorrow's heat races. More to come on that soon.
