That will put a wrap on our coverage of the Victor Johnson Memorial 100 at Monadnock Speedway. From the entire Speed51.com crew, thank you to all of the fans who tuned into our coverage tonight.

Until next time, from Winchester, NH, have a good night.

10:52

Winner Todd Patnode talked to us after the race about learning from mistakes he made in previous races here at Monadnock:

“I learned a few races ago that I pulled the trigger too early here. I watched Rowan (Pennink) drive by me with three laps to go and I said I’d never do that again.”

10:49

Jon McKennedy on his second place finish:

“Overall it’s a good night. It would have been nice to win, but we just missed it a little bit. Congratulations to Todd Patnode. It’s a special race for Victor Johnson, it means a lot. I wish I could have won, but we came up just short.”

10:46

51 also caught up with Tommy Barrett, who was put to the rear by race officials on lap 83 for an incident that involved the #04 of Peter Jarvis.

“I have no idea (what happened),” Barrett told 51. “I don’t know who get into who, the 04 (Jarvis) or the 21 (McKennedy) but I was right behind them and they got together. I checked up and they put me to the rear. It’s a joke.”

10:33

Todd Patnode talked to Speed51 after the race about his first career VMRS win:

“It’s awesome. I told the guys once we finally broke through with this our luck would change. We’ve been fast at quite a few places but just haven’t been able to pull it together. Tonight everything just went our way.”
