Bonsignore on the contact with Savary:

“It’s nothing different than what I would have done for the win. It happens pretty much on a weekly basis everywhere you race. He knew I had him beat on that one restart and did what he had to do.”

10:47
Savary on the last few laps:

“I almost spun on the backstretch on the white flag lap. I had nothing left. If that was one more lap, I would have been done. Everything in the race worked the way it had to work.

“I raced Justin hard to keep the lead. Racing, I don’t think he could have beat me but that restart gave him a great opportunity. I had to race him hard. I don’t feel as though I took him out, but I raced him hard.”

10:45
Richard Savary on his first career Lee USA Speedway win:

“I was saying on the ride up that I have been racing at Lee for a long time and in these Modified I’ve had three second-place finishes, as well as some really good runs. This is one of the few tracks in all of New England that I hadn’t won at. Now I can finally, at the end of my career, check it off.”

10:42
With the win, Savary becomes the first repeat winner on the Valenti Modified Racing Series this season.

Mike “Bubba” Brooks, Phil Bozell and many more will try to take over Senneker’s place on top of the podium in 2014. Click here to make your plans now for this year’s event!
