Sorry to miss you guys! Hope to see you at Caraway!!!

2:21
Park said he is “having a blast” and that he’s “never been on a flatter racetrack.” In fact, he said the quarter-mile here at CMS “feels like it is off-camber.”
2:19
Steve Park told us they had a flat left-rear tire in the first practice session.  They tried to put on a set of tires from his teammate LW Miller’s car, but that car uses a different off-set wheel.  So, Park’s crew bought a set of two-lap practice tires and wheels from Chris Dilbeck, who retired from competition due to a blown engine.
2:16
There is a 50% chance of precipitation tonight at CMS, but speedway officials say IF there is any rain, they will go as late into the evening as they can to get the race in.

Talked to point leader George Brunnhoelzl III and he told us, “We’re not as bad I thought we were.” All laughing aside, GB3 is noted as one of the best cars on the racetrack. “His car just has a much better run off the corner than we do,” said LW Miller. “They do every week; them and the 11 car (teammate Andy Seuss).”

The quarter-mile track here at Charlotte was modeled after the quarter-mile track at Bowman Gray Stadium. However, this track is much wider then the track up in Winston-Salem, NC. We really see the drivers trying different lanes and lines going into the corners.

Jason Myers is having a good season and sits third in points coming into this race. Right now he’s moved up to the third spot here in practice.
11:58
George Brunnhoelzl III has gone to the P1 spot after only seven laps of action. Brunnhoelzl had a strong run going at Bowman Gray Stadium, another quarter-mile track, a few weeks back. It was a bump and run that ended his bid for a win that night. Today he’s the fastest so far.
