That has been the staple for the ASA Midwest Tour this year. Not many cautions. There is a lot of respect among the competitors.

Comment From Guest

must have been really good racing not many cautions

10:30
It was a good battle...I think everyone was waiting to see if Fredrickson would try it. It was a drag race to the line. Both were loose off of two. Eilen wasn't there to capitalize on it.
10:29
Comment From Corey

Nice to see a good battle. If Goede was giving the inside lane and Fredrickson couldn't make it work. Would be nice to see the battle end with a good fight and not someone getting roughed up.

10:27
Dan Fredrickson with his family in victory lane.
10:26
Eilen was right there. He was only 0.233 behind the winner.
10:25

Go #89

10:00
For those wondering why we took at break after 61 laps...this will explain it. Tonight's event is in honor of Dan Ryan, who was a champion competitor here at Elko Speedway. Dan passed away in 2009 after a battle with ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease. The event name "Thunderstruck" came from Dan's favorite AC/DC song and the #93 is one of his car #'s. He also used car #39 in his career. In his honor, the ASA Midwest Tour 100-lap event will have a break after 61 laps and will then have a 39-lap shootout. Dan's family continues to support ALS through "A Race Worth Winning." So far this weekend, they have raised over $5,000 in different fundraising efforts in association with this event. You can learn more at www.araceworthwinning.org

We are discussing up here who will probably win this race. Problem we are having is that there are too many good drivers that could visit victory lane. This could be a good race.

The event name "Thunderstruck" came from Dan's favorite AC/DC song and the #93 is one of his car #'s. He also used car #39 in his career. In his honor, the ASA Midwest Tour 100-lap event will have a break after 61 laps and will then have a 39-lap shootout. Dan's family continues to support ALS through "A Race Worth Winning."
