Ted Christopher finished second and said he his radio stopped working 20 laps in. His take on the incident with Preece: "I really don't know where Ryan was going on that last pass. I think he was trying to cross over Rowan but obviously I was there."

On the final lap Preece and Christopher made contact in turn two as Preece went to cut underneath Pennink. Preece said, "I was going to cross over Rowan and Teddy threw it in there trying to fill a hole. It is what it is."

The Inaugural SK 5K race procedure was determined via fan vote. The fans decided that the top 12 drivers will be inverted for the starting lineup. There will be no tire change.

The race distance will be determined once the SK Modifieds are on the starting grid. The fans decided that the distance will be 76, 80, or 100 laps. The official number will be drawn out of a hat. The number of chips for each distance will be allocated based on the votes each distance received. The final vote totals for each of the laps are; 76 laps: 774 votes, 80 laps: 844 votes, and 100 laps: 2715 votes. These numbers translate to 8 chips for 76 laps, 8 chips for 80 laps, and 27 chips for 100 laps.

Rowan Pennink told Speed51.com that his team has been dealing with engine issues under the hood of his No. 99. He says that the motor "loses about 50 horsepower" as it nears the end of the straightaways. He told us that his team has changed nearly everything under the hood and he hopes the issue is solved during this practice.
