Comment From Gary

Is Christopher Tullis related to the road racer Bob Tullis?

That’s actually Bob Tullius you’re thinking of, different last names. But Tullis does have the help here this weekend of former Georgia late model star Steven Christian, who won quite a few NASCAR All Pro races back in the late 1990s.

For this weekend, the Kyle Busch Motorsports team is lending a helping hand to Theriault, even though this is not an official KBM effort. Theriault’s crew chief will be normal KBM pit boss Chris Gabehart.
12:25
Comment From Guest

Who is working as Austin Theriault’s crew chief? And crew? KBM guys?

Kyle Busch Motorsports is helping out Theriault this weekend but they are not officially backing his effort. That said, many members of the KBM late model crew, including crew chief Chris Gabehart, are here to help out Theriault’s independent effort.

Something that caught a lot of people’s attention yesterday was an incident for Brandon Jones. Early in the day, Jones’ throttle stuck doing down the backstretch, sending him off the track in turn three and over the creek at the edge of the property before crashing into the other side of the water bank. Jones was okay and wound up going back out late in the day.
