Today’s SpeedFest Trackside Now was presented by The Eliminator chassis setup machine from BJ McLeod Motorsports.

A machine built to “eliminate the impossible,” The Eliminator allows motorsports teams the ability to simulate on track suspension travel at the shop or at the track with this cost-effective, portable machine. The Eliminator’s unique design will enable your team to have a distinct advantage over the competition!

With The Eliminator you will be able to accurately check the following, without having to remove shocks and springs: square all four wheels at ride height, full travel or anywhere in between, check rear steer, bump steer curve, caster curve, camber curve, simulate tire deflection, suspension travel for clearance, body clearance for tire rubs, accurately align the drive line, use your shock travel indicators to set your bump stops and have your cross member heights set before you leave the shop, ackerman and toe-in.

Today’s SpeedFest Trackside Now is presented by The Eliminator chassis setup machine from BJ McLeod Motorsports.

For more on The Eliminator, call BJ McLeod Motorsports at (863) 602-4842 or visit www.bjmcleodmotorsports.com

While we have a moment, we at Speed51.com join everyone in the short track industry in offering our thoughts and prayers to Watermelon Capital Speedway track owner Marvin Ragan. Ragan has been fighting leukemia for several months, but he continues to fight hard and still did everything he could to ensure SpeedFest 2013 happened this weekend. His son Brett pitched in to help his father and the track staff get things organized for this weekend and his efforts were certainly appreciated by everyone at the track. Still, we continue to pray for Marvin Ragan, a man with a true passion for short track racing.

Today’s SpeedFest Trackside Now is presented by The Eliminator chassis setup machine from BJ McLeod Motorsports.

For more on The Eliminator, call BJ McLeod Motorsports at (863) 602-4842 or visit www.bjmcleodmotorsports.com

ARCA/CRA Teams will be allowed 8 tires in their pit area for the race, 4 marked tires that can be changed during the break, and 4 marked or unmarked tires for approved flats for any time during the race.

Chase Elliott is looking for three wins in a row in the Pro Late Models (JEGS/CRA) portion of SpeedFest as he has won the last two events (2011-Lanier and 2012-Cordele). Elliott also won the Snowflake 100 and the Beau Slocumb Memorial in 2012, two more highly regarded Pro Late Model events in the Southeast.

Yesterday in Qualifying for both divisions, Johnny Sauter was the fastest car in Georgia as he topped the charts in ARCA/CRA Super Series Qualifying with a 15.724 while Bubba Pollard topped the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Qualifications with a lap measured at 15.984.

Sauter drew a seven (7) for an inversion placing 2012 ARCA/CRA Super Series Rookie of the Year, 18-year-old Travis Braden on the pole along-side 15-year-old John Hunter Nemechek who will lead the 32-car field to the drop of the green flag for the SpeedFest 200.

As for Pollard, he pulled an eight (8) for an inversion which will place Kyle Bryant on the inside of the front row along-side 17-year-old Cody Coughlin as that front row will pace that 32-car field in the running of the Premier Building Systems 100 for the JEGS/CRA portion of SpeedFest 2013.

Also relayed during the Drivers Meeting in reference to the ARCA/CRA Super Series 200-lap main; The restart immediately after the break will be lined-up based on the amount of tires changed at the break, with cars that changed NO tires, starting in front of cars that changed one tire, starting in front cars that changed two tires and on down to four tires.

For line-up purposes after the break, officials will assume that all cars changed four tires and it is the team’s responsibility to inform their pit official that they changed less than four tires. Tires may be broken down for further inspection at any time.

The Drivers Meeting for both classes was held earlier this morning and here are some of the highlights and procedures:

Both ARCA/CRA & JEGS/CRA teams must start the race on the tires they qualify on. ARCA/CRA Teams will be allowed 8 tires in their pit area for the race, 4 marked tires that can be changed during the break, and 4 marked or unmarked tires for approved flats for any time during the race.

JEGS/CRA Teams will be allowed 4 tires marked or unmarked tires in their pit area during the race for approved flats for any time during the race. Flats changed under green are automatically approved. Teams may NOT use tires from another team, used or new, during the break.

CRA Officials will be inspecting the tires the teams have in their pits before and after the race, as well as tracking their usage during the race. CRA Officials will not
tolerate any attempts to circumvent these rules.

For ARCA/CRA Teams ONLY; There will be NO approved flats at the break! A pit stop is NOT required for either event. Any violations in tire procedures will result in a 2 lap penalty per tire.

Today’s SpeedFest Trackside Now is presented by The Eliminator chassis setup machine from BJ McLeod Motorsports.

For more on The Eliminator, call BJ McLeod Motorsports at (863) 602-4842 or visit www.bjmcleodmotorsports.com
