We don’t want to discredit the time trials coming up later on today, but looking back at the history the only thing that is key is a good starting position, but not the pole. In the past three Super Late Model SpeedFest events, and Pro Late Model events the pole sitter failed to win the race. The past pole winners include for Super Late Models: Paul Kelley, Steve Wallace, and Casey Roderick. On the Pro Late Model side: Bubba Pollard, Dwayne Buggay, and Brandon Johnson.
3:57
First car scheduled to go out in just a few minutes will be 79 Kyle Bryant.

Powell, who made the long haul from Mt. Brydges, Ontario / Canada has withdrawn from this weekends JEGS/CRA race due to a steering pump malfunction. So 34 cars will take times to set the field for tomorrow’s Rheem 150.

We at Speed51.com get a ton of emails, tweets and Facebook messages asking for some publicity for drivers, series and tracks. Much of the news-worthy stuff ends up on one of our outlets. Sometimes, we do take their advice and make them a feature story or do something cool to promote what they have going on.

Now, we want to step up our coverage and publicity for drivers throughout North America to continue bringing fans the most comprehensive short track racing coverage on the web.

To do that, we need your help for two new areas of Speed51.com. Sign up for our Speed51.com Driver Database and Social Media directory. It’ll help you get some story ideas through us at 51 and some new fans when we publish the social media page.
