9:08

Due to the weather in the area over this weekend, everything on-track has been moved to today. However the track is still a bit damp this morning, as well as cold, so track drying is happening now.

9:09

Even though we are waiting out some on-track action, we still have some news and information we will bring you throughout the AM.

9:21

Comment From John from Indiana How does the weather for the day look? It is great that you guys cover these events. Keep up the great work!

9:22

It is very cold, but according to the forcasts, everything should be good to go all day today.

9:23

Comment From Boo Has Modified Laps been cut or is it still 75 laps?

9:24

We are hearing that the Modified race has been cut laps, but we haven’t confirmed that. We will have that information later.

9:24

Comment From DD FL Hi when does radio coverage begin?

9:25

Radio coverage will begin about 30 minutes prior to the Pro Late Model race, during the Modified feature.

9:29

Chase Elliott’s car is on the track currently with the safety trucks. It appears he is trying to help get the track warm.

9:45

Bobby Gill is now on the race track.

9:46

Jimmy Weller is on the track now as well.

9:47

Chase Oliver has joined the track.

9:48

Justin Wakefield in the pits earlier said the track will be good to go later, after a dethaw.

9:48

Donnie Wilson has made it on the track too.

9:49

Mike Stacy has worked his way on the track with his Modified.

9:50

Drew Brannon and Eddie Hoffman are now on the track.

9:51

Darrel Bryson has his modified on the track now.

9:51

TJ Reaid is on the track as a few pull off.

9:52

Tom Schuette and Johnny VanDoorn are on the track now.

9:53

Jason Bates (Modified) and Nick LAy made it out on the track as well as Jeff Fultz now in his Pro Late Model (he was out in his Super earlier).

9:54

We are printing the names of these drivers as we appreciate them coming out on the track to help out the drying process.  For some though, this is a good way to get the car all warmed up before practice.

9:56

Brian Campbell is now on the track as a few have pulled off.

9:56

Rodney Benefield is on the track.

9:57

Brad Springer (Modified) is on the track.

9:57

If we miss someone, we apologize, but it has been a whirlwind of drivers that have made it to the track.

10:02

Comment From Chap Have you seen the 61 Car of Johnny VanDoorn on the track yet, if so how does it look.

10:03

He looks slow, but so does everyone else.  Everyone is only going a slow pace speed to help dry the track.  This is not a practice yet and they are not at full speed.

10:04

Andy Brittian (Modified), David Stremme, Kyle Sirizzotti, Eddie Hoffman, Will Prance and others are on the track.

10:05

Bubba Gale (Modified) is on the track.

10:06

There are only race cars on the track at the moment, but some of them are going a bit fast, prompting the flagman to try and slow them down a bit.

10:07

They look like they are now letting the drivers pick up the speed a bit as a few drivers are going fairly fast to see what grip is out there.

10:08

They are waving the cars off the track, so it is possible practice will start shortly.

10:08

The Modifieds have been called to the track.  The Super Late Models will follow.

10:09

Comment From Brad So race will start around 1 hour late you think?May leave from NC in the next hour.

10:09

We haven’t heard any time updates from the officials.

10:11

Comment From james will there be a live feed for the race?

10:11

We are planning on having live Pro and Super Late Model features on RaceTalkRadio.com later this afternoon.

10:12

Comment From Harold Fixin to leave.. gonna be sunny. See ya there!

10:12

The Modifieds are now hitting the track for their practice session.

10:12

Comment From james is there any live vedio coverage for the race? if so where?

10:13

I am not aware of any live video feeds.

10:17

We are hearing that while some of the drivers were helping drying the track, others were on the track to help themselves.  The Pros and Supers are impounding the cars after qualifying, and being that they will only have one time on the track during the practice sessions, drivers were using the “drying” time to scuff their race tires in.

10:18

The Modifieds are at speed during their session, so everything looks fine for at-speed racing action.

10:20

The Modified practice has been completed.  We were told that the plan is for the Modified feature to be 75 laps still.
