Dillon Bassett told 51 that his car was just too loose on the throttle. His No. 44 that won the first two LMSC races of the year here at Hickory got sideways off turn four on his first lap and that slowed down both of his qualifying laps. Bassett did add that his car has plenty of speed to get to the front in tonight’s 100-lapper.

Josh Berry told 51 you won’t see him drop back too much in the feature in a move to save tires. Given that the race is 100 laps and the track has a lot of heat in it, tire conservation will not play as much of a role in tonight’s feature as in other races here at Hickory.
